Boston Wins the Chip!!!

The Boston Celtics finally won the championship! Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen finally getting the ring that had eluded them all these years. They have finally achieved what none of them thought would be possible a year ago. For a team like the Celtics that's rich in tradition, this was a fulfillment. The 17th championship for the team that once dominated the NBA then went into a 22 year slump. Seeing Paul Pierce get the Finals MVP was well-deserved. He stuck with the Celtics through thick and thin, never relenting. I never thought they'd win a championship, with Kevin Garnett wasting 12 years in Minnesota, Ray Allen being a star on a bad Seattle Supersonics and Paul Pierce, who was the lone star in Boston. A year ago, the Celtics won just 24 games during the season. Then all hell broke lose. Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen got traded to Boston and everything clicked from the start. I must admit I've never been a huge Garnett fan. But as a basketball player, I appreciate the intensity he brings to every game. I've never seen anybody as intense as he was for the past 12 seasons. He played the game the way it should have been played, with passion. For everything the Big 3 went through, they deserve this title.
